When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to drive big trucks. I lived near highway 27 in Florida. In the middle of an orange grove. I grew up with elderly parents and very few contacts with other children. I loved the sound of the big trucks at night with the changing of gears that were soothing to my ears. Thinking back, it may have been a symbol, an instrument, or vehicle to escape the loneliness I may have felt.

Holy smokes Jerry, that is the BEST answer I’ve ever heard. Trucks are cool, hearing engines humming is soothing (to some of us).
.
But then you tied it to the dream of escaping…the road to freedom.
.
This really spoke to me. Thank you for writing it.

Hi Mr. George,
I was touched by this memory. It made me think about the things we carry. I recall learning about the story of
Daniel, it had lions, fire pits, and belief… It seemed magical. So I remember saying, I want to be like Daniel.
Thank you for opening up this opportunity for us to share…
